what I've been waiting for

I really got to film today !  I started to set up my mise-en-scene once i had gotten home . It took me almost two hours to have my scene looking how I wanted it to look. Not that I wanted it to be perfect but to at least follow along the lines of the storyboard. This wasn’t quite difficult , but very time consuming for me. Doing that made sure that my film wasn’t going to out of range in the scenery. That was perfect and followed my exactly the way I wanted it to go.  Also, my equipment was definitely there i had a canon - Hd ca mrecorder and a balck tripod and an sd card to save all the footage.
Once I had all my mise-en-scene placed correctly I had to make sure and check that my equipment was ready to shoot. I had tried to turn the cam recorder on but it was DEAD.  I ended up getting the charger and let it charge for approximately 2- 3 hours which delayed my filming and place me on a tight schedule. Doing that made me figure out again how i really wanted myself to be in my own film. This really was the most aggravating in the whole process because ausee while the camera  was charging . Having that I had to know directly the way  i wanted facial expressions and exact way of movement as well .
When i started filming it was a great feeling and made me truly happy . knowing what I had to go through to just film a 1- 1:15 film but i was a trying process that had a happy ending . In opinon, I could've truly done better but it’s a learning experience for all.  When filming I did the most important to least important sense to really make sure i got what i need to make my music video . This was quite a stressful experience but, overall it was a nice thing to do.

I didn't get to film, but it's alright

I was supposed to film over the past few weeks but I wasn't able to because of technical difficulties I’ve been having to keep rescheduling when i would have to time to film my music video. This slowed down my processes of filming which affected my whole schedule of filming.Instead of filming I decided to fix my storyboard and make it flawless so I wouldn't have any trouble filming it by myself. Doing this first had saved me a lot of time that could’ve been wasted . Their are a couple scenes I  would probably need assistance , but I know I’ll be just fine filming. On that first day I was perfecting my music video and securing my site location everything I had ever missed. If I didn't do that I would've been more behind then I already was.
Along with that, I dealt with a lot of delays in my camera crew with the setup of camera because I received my camera so late for filming. Also, I had lacked equipment  such as a tripod - to make it way easier to hold the camera upright. Since I didn't have one I had to go ask my siblings to see if they had one. Evendentally, she ended up having which made a perfect improve for my Music video scenes.
I wanted to film most of my content during the “golden hour“. Technically it wouldn’t affect anything because the filming will mostly be indoors ( in my  bathroom) I don't necessarily have a scene outside anywhere which, I might I’ve incorporated . The point is I haven't film due to difficulties in my camera , location and time wise as well .
In the end , I didn't filmed  and that caused me to behind in my whole project which delayed a lot of the process . I could’ve prevented with more planning obn the entire project. This would’ve saved me a lot of time I should've used to film and created a better music video. With this in my head I will improve much on planning and changing the way I produce any filming of mine.  The filming of this project made me produce better angles due to my experience . In my last project which was a commercial on dunkin’ Donuts I didn't know a lot of CAM’s. The way i hold a camera shows the improvement overall.

StoryBoard Blog

In  my music video there will variety of scenes taking place to just make the video have more of a flow throughout.During most of music video i will be using middle , low , wide , pan, POV,  eye leveled and even zoomed out shots to just give a more effective video. The storyboard is just a quick layout of what most likely will be shown within my video. Just giving myself something quick to have a plan to what exactly i would like to film.
The song I choose isn’t quite difficult but is very different. The artist I’ve choose done various out of the usual what people most look for in a music video which why i chose Good As Hell which is a new song was released not too long ago.My video would make sense to anyone viewing to make a greater impact on opinions .

Planning blog

For my Music Video, i will be using Good as Hell by Lizzo . This video is all about women empowerment and self-love which is going to truly be my angel within the whole movie.  I will be shooting the majority of the video in my bathroom to just show some sort of insecurity portrayed and them a part of upliftment through out . if im not able to shoot there i will at a nearby park or my living room in my home to show some sort of insecurity. I also would want a scene with me doing hair and gaining that confidence back as I improve my looks through the video.
Health and Safety  is always a concern for  most participants. Which will be identified such Hazards and will be eliminated. Most of my footage will take place in my bathroom where some electrical wire are and to prevent and type of current or fire or any type of problem from occurring I would just unplug and sort of wire that aren’t needed to prevent such things from happening.
I will use basic props such as : a flat iron , combs , brushes and hair accessories through my video to portray that the character is fixing herself up to just enhance her beauty to give herself that confidence. While doing that im proving my point of the whole music video. Also, the placement of everything and what coccuring will surely give the effect needed. The whole purpose of my commercial is to enhance the beauty of another just to give someone a boost  of confidence.

Absent- Convention Blog

Absent- convention Blog

In my previous commercial project it was quite stressful because there was no one helping me throughout the assigment. In this project i will improve the way i've been working and try to change the way i used CAM’s and become more diverse within my work. The work on my previous project , Dunkin’ Commercial wasn’t my best and can very much improve on the work. I will definitely improve the angles and quality along with the flowing of the film. The type of software I used Pinnacle Studios wasn't used to its full potential and would have made my commercial way better. Also it didn’t seem that much with eye contact in perspective it could've had more engaging with the camera.
For my music video I’ve chosen the song  is Good As Hell by the new upcoming artist Lizzo. The reasoning behind this song is empowerment of women and showing if someone isn’t appreciating  you just walk away and realize they lost something great. Which is very much great for young women and female children showing you don’t need a man in your life if he’s not appreciating you how he should. Lizzo fall into the genres of soul, pop, hip-hop and contemporary R&B music. This song falls into a self-love anthem which will give the empowerment of women is at the heart of this particular anthem, a fact that deserves not to be erased. The music video is packed with women of color, doing the work of preparing themselves for the world, and then feeling themselves in the most glorious sense.
In the song Good As Hell ,  by Lizzo it gives a lot of CAM’s and a Great Mise-En-Scene . This song has the typical standards of medium shot , pan , hand held , voice overs , zoom, three shot , and a wide shot.  In most of Lizzo’s music it gives praise to more of darker skinned tone girl or natural hair girls .The Mise-En-Scene in the video is great. The lighting gives and enhances the looks of cast as well as Lizzo .

Dunkin' Commercial

Dunkin' Commercial - Late

In my commercial I’ve experienced a lot of things in the phases of film-making. From the beginning, of the development of the story to the distribution. My idea essentially was to was to make a commercial about the brand, Dunkin Donuts which had appealed to the millennial audience such as morning shift workers or people who just need a cup of coffee that isn't overpriced .I planned  out the sequence of the story on my storyboard and then began filming the entire project off the angle I was reaching for. In my commercial I was trying to increase the sales of the lattes and munchkins as well as inform the customer on deals and that with the seasonal change comes more flavor and a more variety in the food.
The beginning of my pre-production  to post-production was very stressful and a learning experience for me. Seeing the whole process of creating a film and edit took a lot of patience and hard  work . In another blog I’ve mentioned how it was difficult for me to edit due to technical difficulties with the computers I was using at the time. Also, adding effects to give the audience the look and engaging content they would want wasn’t as challenging as the shooting. Making sure that each shot was perfect and pleasing. The type of commercial that  was needed to to appeal more to one group than another.
In my opinion, my whole project was learning experience it has a lot of content and could’ve been way better. I used a lot of pan and medium shot angles throughout my commercial I also had a handheld shot for example, zooming out of the pumpkin . I didn’t use a lot of shot with my tripod even though it gives amortizable shot. I could've used a more variety of CAM's within my commercial to prove my point.

Editing

                                   Editing Blog - Late

The  editing of my commercial was quite a story. The day of my scheduled editing I was not even able to do that I had to sit and write a blog about how I didn't get a chance to blog... What a bore. In my commercial editing process the app Pinnacle Studios wasn’t functioning and gave me some terrible technical difficulties. If it wasn't for the software I would've already completed the task but that wasn't the casein this story. Starting approximately 90 mins at a screen trying to figure out how to tie of my three paragraphs  blog on nothing but there's always something in nothing my mother tells me. The editing of my dunkin commercial taught me tricks and obtainable skills that i could use later in life.
The next class period I began to blog starting with the basics of cropping and getting the correct about of footage on the right amount of time , which was 25 to 30 secs in a commercial on a brand . Particularly, it wasn't what it seemed more skill and work is what it took reaching my back over what I called a work of art. My first commercial which was on a business I  work for currently , Dunkin' Donuts. Once I've placed and aligned my footage i started getting to the real work of it all. I started the moving of audio because i did have a voice over in my commercial because it followed typical standards with the brand. I followed through with most of typical activities in their commercial.
The most difficult part of my editing was transitions because you could put any but the many issues is did it help improve the flow or your commercial? In my opinion my transitions are different and give a different look for the brand .
