Decision Day 🥳

I’ve finally came to my senses on what my film genre will be. I’ve been doing research on genre lately and it came to my mind to do something unexpected which is horror films. They have something most genres don’t have in there editing process , sound or acting or even makeup .These quality make them excellent for my film . The spunk and suspense created a great  reason for my audience to be scared. It took a while , but it was worth the while horror movies will always take the cake when it come to something enjoying. Also, the amount of effort put into these movies really show starting with the special effects movies like Freddy Kruger and Micheal Myers. The.  Exquisite Detail put into each character really shows and I want my audience to really feel as if that character truly exist.

The lighting is practical setting lighting , high key , diffused overhead , kicker light with soft fill , and low key .The  type of acting used  are serious presentations or stories with settings or life situations that portray realistic characters in conflict with either themselves, others, or forces of nature. The makeup used in film unions classify movie makeup artists based on the area of the actor's body needing makeup. A makeup artist applies cosmetics from the top of a persons head to the top of their breastbone. Most drama films used everyday day things such as
staffs, food, weapons, lanterns and candles, canes, staffs, parasols, and practically anything else an actor could or might pick up.
The setting of a story can change throughout the plot. The environment includes geographical location such as beach or mountains, the climate and weather, and the social or cultural aspects such as a school, theatre, meeting, club, etc. when editing a drama film the techniques used a cutaways, match cut, a regular cut , establishing shot , etc .

In drama films the kind of suspense full build throughout a conflict between a character is not quite appealing to most ,but I do enjoy it. When it comes to drama I hate the long time to get to the whole more of the story or film you can say .

Genre Research Reflection

Genre Research

During mid September of 2019 my teacher had assigned  to make a PowerPoint. The assignment was drawn from a hat which had your genre you'll be making it about . I ended up with the genre , crime . I went into full detail about what is the typical norm of that. From the movement of the camera when shooting to typical lighting design . The project was a great learning experience from learn more than the typical. I worked on my power point independently at the time and was quite informing for this was my first year in AICE MEDIA STUDIES. The assignment was used to expand our learning on genres and broaden the topic.

WHAT WILL IT BE

It’s been a hard decision narrowing down which pitches , which are a Hollywood term to describe an idea where a film is encapsulated in 25 words or less usually in one sentence. The pitches I will Ben presenting are going to film within the next few months. This is a very hard decision for me because Thai will be used for my AICE. Exam. The two pitches I’ve decided to choose are :
- a teenage girl envy gets out of control
- there are always two sides to a person you may not realize
The reason why I want the pitch, a teenage envy goes over her head. This film would be very suspenseful and has a very good opening. Having a film like this will have the audience wanting more of the film. Creating a story line for this act will be very easy but not easy to film . This film would be very much free writing and improv. This is also relatable because many people has always felt as if someone who suppose to be your friend actually envy’s you. This is very attracting to most teenagers which will catch their attention.
My second pitch isn’t he most dependable because making a storyline would be so easy to do. Also, making sure it doesn’t leave the audience bored and make them wanting more isn’t quite the issue. It’s is pretty bland and doesn’t have a eye opting type of pitch is drys the mind. It’s in the typical length of a pitch but lacks a wow factor . Not having a wow factor can affect the way people view my story or film . if people aren’t attracted to what I’m filming then it would be a waste  I have to keep people eye wanting more of my story. The lack of interest will change the outcome as will as the C.A.M.S which can change the greatness of it all making sure the film is viewable.
After taking about this I’ve decided to choose my frat pitch. This is my most favorite pitch the simplicity of it all and attractiveness is what makes me love it. This film will be a film that puts my techniques to the test. I wanted to film a teenage girl envying another because it’s relate for teens. With a wow factor this pitch has it will keep my audience wanting more and more.

Starting the Final Task

" The Start of my Final task "

Now into the third quarter of Media studies as a junior in high school I  acquire an abundance of information throughout the whole class. My work ethic toward Media Studies has grown. The next couple months are very critical for me as a junior year in high school as we slowly approach the end of the school year. I tended to enhance my skills as a beginner in film to somewhat of knowledge throughout my 2019-2020 school year. As we work ourselves in 2020, I tend to improve my skills as a whole. As we just been assign our next assignment for the next couple of months. Today I'll be talking about my pitches and my learning experiences in the class. During this project I will be doing it on my own with no help. I will have having actors of both sexes to help me out in this project to have a very clear film. During this project I will be taking the place of the director and camera women.
Throughout this whole course I’ve picked up many skills and tactics while filming, editing or even acting as a character. Being able to do your part in your project was a success for I was a new comer. From the start of the quarter leading C.A.M.S. and MIS-EN-SCENE to knowing the prep for my exam. Every tact I was taught was always put to actions as well as help me be able to identify it when in use. I tend to adore the use of a camera because it puts you in control of what your audience sees. That improves the film most definitely due to the film is supposed to be portray because you wouldn’t want to mislead your audience. For my upcoming film I tend to use of all of the skills taught to me throughout the year. All the things I’ve learned in AICE media will be show in my next film.
The pitches I have for my next film are :
-A young teenage girl who tends to be friends with a  popular girl stalks her because she envy’s her life as she scrolls on her instagram she loses it
-A football player on his way to D-1 has the most perfect life and one night has changed it all
- A young man growing up in the ghetto goes to a school in the suburbs living two different lives

It's time to cut, copy and paste

Editing blog

Editing? What does that mean well   the act of preparing (written material) for publication by correcting, condensing, or otherwise modifying it.  In my music video , project i totally fulfilled my mission in editing . It was just a start for me to make a masterpiece. I use a software specialized for editing of video s such as pinnacle studios 18. This software has been used by many students, so I decided to give it a try. This was also an improvement in my perspective because the software you use caan change the outlook of your video.
The first thing I did was align the footage in the correct order I had wanted it.  This improved the whole process and make it way quicker for me personally. Doing that made it easier and smoother for me particulier. Also, I had moved to the cutting and make it have a better flow between the shots . I wanted to do that before I had  added transitions to give a better look then it had before. All the steps ive taken while editing smoothed out the entire process and made my music video sound and looking way better the raw footage taken. The easier part of me personally was the cutting and placing it in the order along with transitions.
I mostly hated finding the audio that worked with the computer I was using . that really slowed the process down of editing quickly. My music video didn't lack much but it didn't need too much of editing, but really when is there's really too much editing. In my opinion, I felt rushed throughout my whole project to get a film finished and ready to be uploaded for a grade. The editing process was also tested my ability to edit. While I was editing I tend to notice the way I flow in my actions as well as how the outlook of video will be. Editing is a great thing to learn and I actually enjoyed it but it took time and patience.
